What the Task Measures

The GTO observes physical confidence, risk sense, determination and ability to keep moving under fatigue.

How to Attempt

Start with obstacles you can complete confidently, maintain pace and avoid wasting too much time on one obstacle.

Build running stamina, upper-body strength, jumping ability and flexibility. Practice safely and progressively.

Cavalier approach: Learn the task, practice under real conditions, get feedback, and improve natural behaviour instead of memorising fixed answers.
